Over the 10 years that we have been accommodating families and groups in Brisbane, we’ve seen a significant rise in the number of holiday-makers asking us to assist with their pets. So we’ve made every effort to ensure the “other” member of your family feels right at home.
We have four beautiful homes for you and your pet to enjoy!
With such high demand for the combination of pet friendly and family friendly lodgings, we’ve decided to make a number of deliberate changes to each of our houses so that you and your pet really enjoy your stay. This means less stress and more fun, whether it’s the entire family or just you and your four legged friend.
All houses are fully fenced, allowing your pet to roam free in the privacy of your back yard. This is critical for your dog’s safety as well as your peace of mind.
Carpets have been removed where possible and are only found in some bedrooms. Therefore no more nasty stains, and no chance of hair left behind by previous tenants.
Plenty of shade & shelter is another feature, so your canine or feline companion can relax, protected from Brisbane’s beautiful, yet occasionally extreme weather conditions.
A back yard doggy door is included in some houses, so your pet won’t feel lonely and can come and go as they please should you choose to let them.

While we have a few pet rules just like you would at home (see our terms and conditions here), all houses are setup to make sure your pet is comfortable.
It is a good idea to ensure your pet has a collar on when they leave home so you can be notified when found if lost. When travelling it is handy to have an editable tag so at each place you stay along the way you can alter the address. Travelling with your feeding bowls and drinking containers gives the pet an added sense of security and more familiarity in their new surroundings. It is good to travel with a blanket for those cosy cuddles as pets are forbidden on furniture.
What facilities are available when travelling with my pet?
The facilities on offer in this local area provide for a dog friendly environment ensuring you have an enjoyable holiday with your four legged friend. With your dog on a lead with effective control, (unless at an off-lead park ) your dog is allowed in most public places. Some National Parks do not allow dogs on leads – however in our local area the council is pet friendly.

Brisbane City Council have kindly provided four dog off-lead parks in the Wynnum Manly area. These are well frequented and usually a chance for your dog to practice his social skills. Your best buddy have the time of his life with his new found friends. A map of these local parks can be found here.
Outside the Harbour Village shopping centre at Manly is a purpose built dog leash holder with water bowl. This is conveniently placed outside IGA on Cambridge Parade. The water bowl for dogs always looks fresh and full.
Pet friendly dining.
Frenchies Café is a pet friendly café on Bay Terrace in Wynnum. They welcome and cater for dogs and their friends. They have tables on the pavement to comply with Health and Safety Regulations. Drinking bowls and special treats are on offer for both of you . This is a popular place to walk to or drive depending on which house you are staying. Most of all the décor is all about dogs, so you will feel right at home.
Fish Café at Manly is a wine bar with an extensive menu ranging from takeaway to A la Carte dining. You will find something for everyone for breakfast, lunch or dinner. With Al fresco dining, your dog may sit quietly by the table . You can both enjoy the interesting sights and smells. Finally this is a great venue for an evening meal that is dog friendly so you can dine in company.
With half a dozen vet clinics in Wynnum and Manly your pet will receive proper care if needed. You can receive 24 hour vet care in some clinics.
If you feel like pampering your pooch with a holiday treat, the area has quite a few pet groomers and mobile dog hydro baths.
